Earth First!
The massive amounts of trees are used primarily for construction of new homes and paper products. The luxury of redwood decks in suburbia will have to end to prevent the complete destruction of the forests. Since the mid-1800's, only 150 years ago, 96 percent of the California Redwoods have been destroyed. It would be profoundly sad to see the remaining sacred forests wasted on human luxury.

The excessive size of many homes in today's suburbia is driven by developers and buyer's greed. People prevent the destruction of these irreplaceable ancient forests that have developed over many thousands of years.

This photo is one still from five minutes of video of driving by a huge lumberyard, a massive morgue of ancient trees, before they are cut for lumber and paper.
